It’s not all well with all leaders who were electing during the 2021 general elections on the National Unity Platform flag after the party’s founder who last month overthrew Bobi Wine as principle warned them to report to his newly created offices in Lubaga.
It’s no longer news that leaders aligned to NUP will either report to Kamwokya or Lubaga offices since the founders opened their own offices away from the Kamwokya headquarters. But if it we are to go by the way events are unfolding, Councilors and members of parliament on the NUP ticket have been told to report to the Kibalama headquarter or risk loosing their seats.
While addressing journalists at their newly created offices, Kibalama and his party spokesperson Gideon Tugume tasked Bobi Wine and other leaders to report to the new headquarters since Kamwokya is no longer party of the NUP formation because power shifted.
And to the MPs and all other leaders elected on our party ticket, come and report to our offices as a sign of paying allegiance. Should you fail, we will inform authorities to remove you from your positions”- Kibalama warned.
The Kibalama spokesperson Gideon Tugume who accused Bobi Wine of running the party as a family affair without any accountability and warned if Kamwokya doesn’t show accountability to Kibalama, their property will be auctioned to recover party money they misused.
“They have collected lots of money but have failed to offer accountability. We will auction their property if they have misused party money”-Warned Tugume
