When the film was being premiered in the country for the first time this weekend, NUP President Kyagulanyi Sentamu denied the allegations that he made huge amounts of money from this film called “Bobi Wine the people’s president.”

Kyagulanyi said this film they made was to show the kidnappings taking place in Uganda such the world knows them but not to make money from it as others think.

The film shows Kyagulanyi’s life from the idea of entering politics to his candidacy for the presidency and all the waves he has gone through.

Kyagulanyi launched the film at the NUP headquarters in Makerere Kavule over the weekend and it was translated by VJ Moon and VJ Shawo Khan.

Kyagulanyi told viewers that the horrific crimes committed against them were not included, in compliance with international broadcasting laws.

The film, despite the tears it left with most viewers, is one of the few nominated for an Oscar Award worldwide, and was handed over to National geographical films as the sole owner.

Kyagulanyi said that although he is concerned about Uganda, he allowed the crimes in the film to be shown to the world, because others have been covering them up for the purpose of leaving Ugandans in misery and dark rule.

Kyagulanyi urged his fellow leaders to think critically and remember their colleagues who died and others who are still in prison for political reasons.
