UPDATE: UPDF Advances Into ADF Territory After Crossing Semliki Bridge

The Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels have a reason to worry and run for their lives after the UPDF finalized efforts of rehabilitating roads to ease movement of military artillery to near their base inside the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Going by the photos seen by this website, UPDF and the Congolese Army have crossed the Semliki bridge with their machinery heading to Medina in Beni province where the ADF are said to be hiding.

 

According to the UPDF’s director of Strategic information and former Army spokesperson Paddy Ankunda, the forces are now advancing nearer to the known ADF camps where they base to cause havoc on Congolese and also far in Uganda’s capital Kampala.

This means that the forces will now face the rebels head on since they’re now in the Semliki area which is said to their area of operation.

UPDF in conjunction with Congolese army FARDC launched military offensives against the Allied ADF rebels after the two countries reportedly agreed to destroy the terrorists who have become notorious following their connection to the famous terrorist organization Islamic State (ISIS).
