VIDEO: NRM reportedly Gives Kayunga People 4k To Vote For Andrew Muwonge

As Kayunga people go to polls today to vote for their district boss, they’re quite a number of disturbing videos coming from front line of the highly militarized election area. Last night BBS Tv a Buganda Kingdom station broadcasted a video of people claiming to have been given shs4000 as a bribe to vote for the NRM candidate Andrew Muwonge.

In the video, people could even show the ka 4k which had been distributed to them from the NRM camp but disgruntled youths are seen complaining that four thousand is very little and they will discipline them by voting for the NUP candidate Harriet Nakwede. Others are heard saying it’s the prime minister Robinah Nabbanja who was giving out the money and had gone to Bbale to distribute more money to another pick up station.

Kayunga district LC5 fell vacant after the elected district Boss Ffefeka Serubogo died after one month in office, he was found handing on a tree, despite police concluding that he committed suicide, it’s still said he might been murdered and hanged on a tree behind his house since he was lame and possibilities of him climbing a tall tree were not real.

The by election has attracted six candidate including late Ffefeka’s son Jamir Kamoga but the battle lines have been drawn between NRM’s Andrew Muwonge and NUP’s Harriet Nakwede Kafero. President Museveni was in the district on Tuesday to canvass support for his party flag bearer as Military was causing mayhem and beating up NUP supporters including candidate Nakwede after blocking Bobi Wine from campaigning for her.

We are keeping tabs to this story and we shall update you as events unfold.
