National Unity Platform principal has been left cursing after election results changed mysteriously to hand NRM’s Muwonge a hard-fought win by the electoral commission returning officer of Kayunga District Janepher Kyobutungi.
This follows declaration of results which placed Andrew Muwonge of NRM as the winner with 31830 votes followed by NUP’s Nakwedde who polled 31308 votes ending the Kayunga Waguan in tears.
According to the National Unity Platform who were in early celebratory mood, they were shocked by how results ended up changing mysteriously not in their candidate’s favor claiming their victory has been robbed in broad day light.
NUP which is yet to come to terms that their purpoted win has been robbed claim Harriet Nakwedde garnered 35212 and NRM’s Muwonge had polled 20661 from all the 13 sub counties that make up Kayunga district.

Bobi Wine blasted has further blasted Museveni for robbing the victory of Kayunga people and denying them a chance to be led by a person of their choice but one of his choice. Kyagulanyi in his message to Museveni also roars that Ugandans will have to decide the next course of action.

The other candidates in the race performed decimally compared the two who defined the race,
Antony Wadimba of the Democratic party got 158 votes, Nyanzi Majid got 1287 votes, Musisi Boniface Bandikubi 470 votes and Jamil Kamoga polled 279 votes.
