LGBTQ+ Rights

LGBTQ+ Rights refer to the rights and protections afforded to individuals who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or other sexual orientations and gender identities included in the “+” (such as intersex, asexual, etc.). These rights encompass a wide range of legal, social, and human rights issues, including the right to marry, adopt children, serve openly in the military, access healthcare without discrimination, and live free from violence and harassment based on sexual orientation or gender identity. Advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights aims to promote equality, challenge discrimination, and ensure that individuals are granted the same rights and freedoms as those in heterosexual and cisgender populations. The movement also seeks to raise awareness about the unique challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals and to influence laws and policies to create a more inclusive society.
