Crime & Law

Crime and Law refer to the body of rules and regulations established by a governing authority that define actions deemed harmful or dangerous to society, individuals, or property, and outline the punishments or consequences for breaking these rules.

Crime is an act or the commission of an act that is forbidden or punishable by law. It encompasses a wide range of activities, from petty offenses, such as theft and vandalism, to serious offenses, including murder and drug trafficking.

Law, on the other hand, is the systematic framework of rules created and enforced through social or governmental institutions to regulate behavior. Laws are designed to maintain order, protect property and individuals, uphold rights, and promote social justice.

Together, crime and law form the foundation of the justice system, which seeks to address violations of laws through mechanisms such as policing, judicial proceedings, and corrections, ensuring public safety and the rule of law.
