The election is scheduled for 21 March 2024 and it should be remembered that the seat fall vacant following the death of Cecilia Ogwal, former Dokolo woman MP.

The plan, released by the Election Commission, has also started with the renewal of voter lists from 12 to 15 February, 2024 and it will be conducted in 71 parishes of Dokolo district.

The posting of the voter lists will last for 10 days from February 21, to March 01,2024.

Spokesperson Paul Bukenya said the nomination process will be held within two days, starting on 11 and ending on12 March.

The nomination will be held at the Dokolo district Election Commission headquarters.

The campaign for the nominees will run for 7 days, from 13 to 19, March and the election will take place on 21 March,2024.

It should be remembered that the FDC, Najjanankumbi faction a few days ago, met the daughter of the late Cecilia Ogwal, Rosemary Alwoc Ogwal and persuaded her to hold the party card to run to succeed her mother the late Cecilia Ogwal.

However, it has not been confirmed whether she is ready to take on the responsibility.

Similarly, there were allegations that the NRM had also approached Rosemary Alwac Ogwal to hold its flag for the same seat, but the NRM denied it.
