Students have been urged to use their academic qualifications to transform themselves and the societies that they come from than sitting back in search for jobs.
She said that the education especially the science courses, must be able to respond to global challenges and contribute to the development of modern world.
“The certificates and diplomas you take home today is your insurance policy with premium fully paid by hard work, so I implore you to use these papers to contribute positively to society and the world at large” she said.
The institute graduated over 100 students in certificates and diplomas in different disciplines including information Technology, Journalism and Mass Communication, Social Work and Social Administration, Records Management among others.
Tinye Sam Aggrey, the Institution’s Academic Registrar tasked students to be ambassadors of the institute, but also use the skills acquired to portray the good image of the Institute.
“I implore you to become ambassadors of this great institute, because it now has a bearing on your academic background, it will not be good to hear that the institute has collapsed” he said. He commended parents for sacrificing their resources to fund the children’s education.
The Principle of the Institute Ismail Kalema told the grandaunds that the education they have acquired is a stepping stone for them to better their lives. He appealed to them to go back to school and continue to other academic levels noting that the papers they acquire, the higher the chances they create for himself.
“The education we have given to you is a stepping stone for your future, my appeal to you is that get more papers because the more papers you acquire the higher the chances you create for yourself” Kalema said.
He also appealed to the parents to continue supporting their children whenever resource are available.
“To our dear parents, we thank you for supporting your children to acquire these education qualifications, it is my humble appeal that you continue supporting them whenever resources are available” Kalema said.
The Executive Director, of IMSAT said that education must transform the standards of living for anyone who has acquired it. He tasked the students to use the education acquired to cause an impact on both them and the societies they come from.
Some of the students who graduated expressed joy and happiness after completion of the education levels. They said that the journey has not stopped and have promised themselves to endeavor and further their education.
